I had a great experience with Banefield the year or so I took my dog Pete there. The staff knew us and always sent reminders days ahead of time. (I had a rep for running behind or forgetting). They were always timely and would keep Pete during the day if I had to drop him off before work. Which was super convenient. All of the vets treated Pete with such compassion and care as if Pete was their dog. I was never pressured into radical procedures or unnecessary treatments towards the end of my dog's life. I was on a premium plan but for the biweekly injections and monthly pills, it was most economical for me. I was met with so much empathy and closeness when I did have to put Pete down. The office even sent me a bereavement card soon after he passed as well as personal emails of support. I will continue to take current and future animals to this location due to the integrity and amazing staff at south city.

We were treated horribly after we said we did not wish to sign up for their wellness plan. The second you refuse to spend the money they are pressuring you to spend, they go from nice to awful. This is clearly a corporation that only values making money over the wellness of your pet. They push unnecessary services and use scare tactics to get you to spend more money. Do not go here unless you want to overspend.

I like the doctors and the rest of the staff. Very friendly and they're wonderful with our cats. And the wellness plan and on-site pharmacy for my diabetic cat is really affordable and convenient. However, I feel like I'm constantly being pressured to spend more and more on them. Even when I told them that I was unemployed, a full-time student, and had a baby on the way, they kept pressing me to have dental surgery on my oldest cat. I love my pets, but I don't want to made to feel guilty for not being able to afford non-essential procedures. I get that it's a business, but I've never had this kind of pressure from independently-owned vet clinics.

They are best vets around! I take "Midnight" there. At first he was afraid, but become use to it. Dr. Sitaram Parvataneni is so caring & knowledgeable that I can trust his expertise. The vet nurses, assistance and customer assist is more than helpful. They treat "Midnight" like human patient. Thank you!
