Went here for our weekly dinner date. Being our first time we planned on ordering a lot of food, so that we can try all our favorites. However, the owner did not allow us a large table because it was just the 2 of us. Keep in mind, there were only 2 other couples eating when we arrived, and by the time our order was taken, we were the only 2 people in the restaurant for our entire meal! We ordered 4 plates and because our table was so small they had to bring them out 1 by 1. I would have preferred all the food to be brought out together, hence the need for a larger table. The food was good, but because of the service we will never return.

First and last time coming here. We asked to be seated at the sushi bar and the waitress insisted we sit at a table because the bar was "too high" for our 4 year old daughter. We kindly told her it was fine, we sit at sushi bars all the time. She gave us a dirty look and without saying a word she turned around and walked away!!! So we did the same, walked right out of that place. I hate to give this place 1 star because we didn't even get to try the food, thanks to that rude Asian lady they have for "waitress"

Decent ingredients and flavor. But all of the portions were small compared to the rest of the Japanese restaurants in town. The curry & rice was $10 and it was literally a scoop of rice and canned curry sauce. I would not order that again. Still beers were only $4 and our waitress was nice once she picked up our table. We had a really awkward interaction with the elderly Hostess when we first walked in because we didn't want to sit crowded into the doorway in the Sun so she just glared at us the rest of our visit so probably won't come back.

It took 15 minutes to order drinks. We told the lady we were ready to order and she told us someone would be over to take it. We waited another 20 minutes before I had to summon the attention of a waiter. I told him this was really bad customer service. He told me that I needed to have empathy and to google it for a definition. What the heck??? Needless to say we showed him empathy by not adding to his workload and walking out!!!!

The ambiance was exactly what i was expecting for a lounge and had unique private feel to it. The service was ok at the start but got better when one of the owners came over and took over. The food was awesome. It was some of the freshest fish i have had. They have some unique rolls that are a little different, some baked, some raw, many options. I also tried the plum wine which i really liked it is a sweet wine. This is someplace i will be visiting again and has moved into one of my top 5 sushi restaurants.
