I was shocked to see any negative feedback here for this dentist since this is the best customer service and care I've ever had from a dentist. We switched to McFadden a few years ago after I bounced around for a few years trying to find a "good one" since our family dentist died (Dr. Fitzgerald whom I adored). One night my son chipped his tooth and I called the office as soon as it happened (6p.m. on a Sunday night). I didn't leave a message, or deal with a forwarding service, it was Dr. McFadden HIMSELF who answered the call after the second ring. He scheduled my son for an appointment the very next morning and was sincerely patient. This is the sort of dentist you want since you never know when something bad will happen. He didn't let my son suffer and my family adores him for it!

Worst experience ever. I went to him, and as a lay person I knew a needed a root canal. He insisted, "no, a filling will work." He put a filling in too deep so the filling touched my nerve and I was in excruciating pain. I called him the next day, and he said "come in and we'll do a root canal, but I'll have to charge you $90 more per hour because it's an "emergency" visit." Newsflash Dr. McFadden, YOU CAUSED the emergency situation, so it's unethical to charge me "more." Of course, I didn't want McFadden butchering my teeth further, so I went to a competent dentist to clean up his mess. Sitting in the chair as he began to incompetently deal with my teeth, I realized I was on the cutting edge of 1972 dental technology, but it was too late to pull the drill out. I recommend Dr. McFadden retire and do no more damage to patients. Avoid him at all costs...Dr. Procopio is excellent. He's in Fayetteville, but it's worth the drive.
