Great Sushi. Beautiful presentation. Energetic "shoulder to shoulder" atmosphere. Good idea for a first date (if they like sushi).

This location is divided into two distinct sections- 1) The eat-in, sit down style restaurant and 2) the sit down conveyor belt sushi.

The conveyor belt side is narrow and long, using mirrors to appear larger. Sometimes, there can be a wait, as groups like to sit together and the all-you-can-eat special is very popular. This side is more intended for a shorter meal, but not fast food. More modern and Asian-Fusion like.

The other side has a more cozy and traditional feel to it. There are wooden tables, matching decor, and a calm ambient atmosphere. Better for a quiet meal.

What I LOVE about this restaurant is they ensure EVERY guest is taken care of. They offer vegetarian options and even supply patrons with GLUTEN FREE soy sauce, if needed! They are reasonable about substitutions also, so if you cannot consume gluten, they are VERY careful about this!

Specials might change, but Wednesday is all you can eat for one price. On this day, yes, it can be crowded with a wait and sometimes, the staff could improve verifying that guests have everything they need. There have been some visits where a waiter never checked on us at the sushi bar and refills on water never happened. Minor inconveniences, but they are things that get remembered. Also, it's a little unclear how to order specific foods from the sushi conveyor belt. Unsure if you should be speaking with the chefs or going through the wait staff, as they sometimes don't return.

Decent sushi, and plenty of different plates to choose from, but overall is a bit pricey for what is ultimately not the best fish. The rolls seem to emphasize sauce in order to make up for this. To be fair though, Syracuse is pretty far from the ocean, so it seems like they're doing a lot with very little.
