The Fish Friar has a quiet, understated excellence about it. Near city hall, it shares the cafe district with Wolff's Biergarten, Recess Coffee and nearby J. Ryan's Pub. The interior has a small dining room inside a building that had a role in the abolition movement. The staff impressed me as bright, quick and friendly, maybe Syracuse University students. All the seafood come from a sustainable vendor, fresh from the sea, so enjoy it with out guilt.

Food was very delicious and excellent service! I personally ordered the lobster roll and it was excellent! The indoor atmosphere was excellent but I enjoyed it sitting outside on a perfect sunny day! These guys are great food artists!

The Fish Friar exceeded my expectations! Their service, craft beer selection and menu are all exceptional. We enjoyed a freshly tapped Keg of Middle Ages Brewery's Batch #13 which was phenomenal just like the waitress and chef said it would be! For lunch we enjoyed a Spicy Shrimp Po Boy, Haddock Sandwich, and a Lobster Roll. The food was fresh, well prepared, and looked beautiful! There was nothing left on any of our plates! I cannot wait to go back and try more!!

A Seafood Treat! This was very good and, except for the music volume, which was adjusted upon request, a good dining experience. The lobster roll was exactly as it should be, fresh lobster, a little mayo on a toasted white bun. The fries were crunchy, and the side salad was fresh. The service was good, but the atmosphere is a little cold and sparse, almost uncomfortably so. Good food, but not a warm place to eat. Nevertheless, the food will bring us back soon.

Great craft beer choices and the food is delicious! Best mac salad I've had in a while. The lobster roll was moist & packed with lots of meat. We sat outside and it was great. Awesome service as well. We will definitely be back 👌🏻
