Closed? - Uh... No. Still open.
There was a substantial gap between my last visit (circa 2012) and my most recent (two weeks ago) - to be honest, I don't recall the details other than the experience was surprisingly below-average.
When we returned a couple of weeks ago, it was fine. The menu was "road-housey" - I could go on, but truthfully it was largely unmemorable.
If you're hungry and Miller's (next door) is packed for some reason, and you don't want to go to any other place (uh, see my review for Chili's across the street...) then you'll be fine here. It's certainly "A-OK" from my experience.
One reviewer hits the nail on the head with his intro sentence: "This establishment has past it's [sic] expiration date." - I'll second that.

This place stinks so bad you're food can't be safe. Watch out people that's a very important sign. If the place stinks and smells unclean you're food can't be any better.

Usually my go to place for steak but not yesterday! Not a good experience.
The family went in for an early dinner, about 4:30. We were told to wait and were put "on the list". There were empty tables and booths open. Employees running everywhere looking very unproductive. The "hostess" started seating people on the list. Another employee started "helping" but did not go by the list. After 2 parties got seated in front of us, I spoke up. Still had to wait. Finally seated in the bar at a booth when I clearly ask for a table, and there were many tables open. We were seated at a dirty booth and when something was said the server got short with me and said she was double seated and we would have to wait.
We ordered, the server forgot drinks and when our steaks were served she said that she was going to stand there and wait to see if our steaks were cooked properly. I was eating my salad but felt like I had to stop and do as she said. She didn't ask us, she told us. My husband ordered a medium steak, his was rare, son ordered medium-rare his was medium well. Our bill was $79.00 and we left a $14.
I spent 30+ years in the hospitality business, owned 2 restaurants for 25 years, I know how hard it is for service folks to make a living. The service has to be horrible for me not to tip well.
This experience was very close! Very disappointed. Won't go back for a while if ever. (have to drive 45 minutes to go there)

This is exactly the type of place i was looking for. The pink lemonade (or strawberry lemonade can't remember the name) was the boom, my food was delicious, they had my boyfriends favorite beer, And their rolls.... let me just tell you I FREAKING MISSED THIS TYPE OF ROLL. It is the most delicious, sweet, fluffy roll from my childhood roadhouse the went out of business. I love this place so much now i am even going back tonight.... though some people may think the food might be mediocre, for me it is straight out of my memories and i love it.
This is exactly the type of place i was looking for.
