The therapist was highly skilled and professional, possibly the best massage I've ever had in Tallahassee !!!

You usually can get in for a massage without an appointment. Wonderful service!

This was the worst massage my boyfriend and I had ever had. My boyfriend bought us the couples massage for Valentine's Day and this was our first time coming to Chens. I've had professional massages done before, but this was his first-time getting one. There's a lot that added up to my one-star rating, and I'd like to preface that I really don't like writing negative reviews to local businesses. I understand there was some things that are out of their control. But the experience was just awful; the women were unwelcoming, unexperienced, and unprofessional.
Atmosphere: We walk in and it smells of rough chemicals. The women that were working were sitting in the back room, and one came out when we walked in. While I went to use the bathroom, my boyfriend informed the woman that it was his first time and wasn't sure what he should expect. Like anyone who's experiencing their first massage, it's a little awkward at first to knowingly get naked and have someone massage you. The masseuse should make the first-timer feel comfortable and welcome. This woman, however, guided him to the room and asked if he wanted the "table or the wall". He thinks she meant whether he wanted the table by the door or the table by the wall. He felt uninformed and uncomfortable because her demeanor was very aggressive. When we got undressed and in our tables, the two women came in and began speaking Chinese and didn't say anything at all to us-- they just started the massage. It was very weird.
The Massage: The massage was supposed to be for 60 minutes. By the time the women left, the timer on the wall said "49 minutes." When the massage began, there was little to no instruction or small talk to make us feel welcome and comfortable. One of the women worked on me while the other worked on my boyfriend, and they seemed out of sync and doing different massage techniques. It was a small dark room and there was a screen that separated the tables from the door (that was kept OPEN and facing the front-door of the parlor). Halfway through the massage, two gentlemen walked in the parlor and one of the women had to stop massaging and walk out to greet them. I felt VERY uncomfortable because of how close my naked body was to the door and only a thin screen separating me from the mens' view. I could hear everything that was going on out in the lobby room (it was very small and the door was still left wide open while they waited for their appointment that was after ours) and I was having anxiety from how close they seemed to be. Needless to say, I couldn't relax and destress, which was the whole point of the massage. Furthermore, the massage wasn't even that good. For me personally, she was just rubbing with DRY HANDS on my body, as if they were short on lotion. My boyfriend said the woman that was rubbing his back had a chip in her nail that kept scratching him during the massage. He also said that she focused 60% of the massage on his butt (I don't blame her-- he does have a nice butt!). Also, there was one point toward to end where they put some sort of SCOLDING HOT WAX on our back without fair warning and it hurt like hell. I'm not even sure what purpose that served. I think it was at that point that I realized this was more of a torture chamber than a massage parlor.
In short, I will never be returning here. I feel really bad for my boyfriend because I've had excellent massages elsewhere and this was just bad. Now I feel like I have to spend more money somewhere else to get a decent massage for him, not that this was cheap ($60 each for a 60 minute [or really, 49 minute] massage). We're busy, stressed out grad students and reading all day gives us literal pain in our back and neck. We felt no better after the massage, and if anything, felt a little worse because we were annoyed by the experience and were out $120.

Home of the four hand massage! #gamechanger. This place is great. I had Annie and Tina, they gave me a relaxing amazing massage. Skilled and professional therapists- good prices too.
