Simply the best. I have 1 dog and 2 cats so I'm no stranger to Northwood, whether it's for a physical or for management of my dog's itchy skin. I'm always able to get an appt time convenient for me and I never have to wait too long to be seen. The staff is always incredibly kind and patient and greet me and my animals by name. I'm self aware enough to know that I can be somewhat of an overbearing pet mom, and they've never made me feel ridiculous and always address my concerns with seemingly inexhaustible patience. I've had to take my older cat here before on emergency and it's a huge relief that Northwood is open for emergency hours. Best place to take your animals hands down!!

I would give 0 stars if I could! We set up a payment plan for out dogs leg being broke. We set up for the payments to come out once a week until the cast was paid off. Well they decide to take the entire payment of $607 out a month and a half later with no call or heads up. Not to mention a week after I pay for this $700+ cast it falls off and I have to go back and spend yet another $300! Stay away!!

In response to your somewhat rude response. If a family emergency happened I can completely understand. With that being said would a curtesy call to at least inform me of this be too much? $607 may not be a lot of money to you, but to me it was quite a hit. The first two checks were NOT deposited on the correct times the only check that was deposited on the right time was the very first check. And it was a month and a half after the first check was dated. Every one of the checks were dated in October. So no it may not have been a month and a half after the last check, but it was a month and a half after the checks were suppose to start to be deposited. You guys told my wife that you would take the checks out once a week so no you did not uphold your end of the agreement. We had the money that was "spent" we had the money when he accident happened that is far from the issue. The issue was the checks were prorated to come out once a week and they came out all at once. It was not that we didn't have the money it was that it was easier on us to do the once a week payments. I would have much rather taken my dog to a different vet and paid more to have not been lied to about how the payments would be processed. As far as us noticing slipping on day one that is nothing but a lie to make us seem like the "bad guys" trust me if I would have seen slipping I would have immediately brought my dog back to get the cast fixed. So no we did not wait 8 days to address the slipping that would be foolish of us. We did decline to have you guys redo the cast but instead put the cast around the body which was you guys idea. We agreed and did take the sedation as you guys advised. 6 days later the cast came completely off. We returned to the vet that night around 10:30 pm to spend another $350 to be exact to get yet another cast. The reason you guys have not seen zoey since and will never see another animal of mine is because I was very unsatisfied with the service there and we took zoey to another vet after the cast come off yet again 8 days later. Surprisingly this cast that the other vet put on did not come off. Weird huh? I have tried to contact you guys Saturday and also this morning. No calls back yet. Again, weird huh? Reading the reviews I noticed the smart comment back to the bad reviews you guys received and was quite excited to see the response I would get. Thinking maybe with my review we would find solutions instead of bashing me trying to make some seem like a bad pet owner. Yet again I am disappointed in Northwood Animal hospital, and will strongly advise each and every pet owner I meet to stay far far away from this establishment. Thank you hope to heard something from you soon.

I've called three times now all three times "the manager is out" but yet I can get a response on here. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here.

You will not find a better group of people than the folks here. While prices may be ever so slightly higher here, the level of care your pet received is astronomically worth the cost. These people saved my pet with ease while other places could not. Truly special people who deserve more recognition than a review on google.

Our dog caught parvo while we was in the area on vacation. We took him to Northwood and They provided excellent care!!! I highly recommend them & in the event of another after-hours emergency I will travel the 150 miles from my home to them. I cannot express the amount of care & compassion they offered at a very reasonable rate!

My roommate and I took in an old stray kitty that we'd been feeding for a few months because he started looking sick, and after a vet visit at another clinic and a few days, we thought he may be at the end of his rope. We took him into the after hours service at Northwood to get bloodwork and see if there was anything we could do, and the vet was just amazing. We had to euthanize him that night, which was painful and difficult, but the staff never pressured us to make that decision. They gave us alternatives if we wanted to try hospitalization or home treatment and they were honest about the chance of recovery. The staff supported us in our decision, gave us as much time as we needed with him, explained the whole process of euthanasia so we knew exactly what to expect, and allowed us to decide when to give him the final injection. The vet allowed us to hold him as he passed away, and the whole staff was very gentle and understanding. Northwood made this painful experience so much more bearable. Today we received a package in the mail with a personalized and signed sympathy card and a little garden stone with Ozzy's paw print in it. My roommate and I are touched and so grateful for the real love and support that Northwood offers its clients. Thank you so much for your kindness, Northwood. Though we are still tearful over Ozzy's departure, we are so thankful that we took him to you in his final moments. Northwood will always be my first choice vet and emergency care office.
