I saw Midwife, Denise Nickels throughout my pregnancy. She's very responsive to patient needs, and she was amazing in delivery. I could not imagine going through the experience with anyone other than her delivering. However, I feel that in my review, I must rate based on the experience from start to finish. Although the care I received was fabulous, St. Francis outsources their billing to multiple different places and after delivery, I was bombarded with an influx of patient bills coming at me from all sorts of directions. It's not just lumped into one tidy patient account number (as of right now, I have a total of at least 6 different patient accounts for myself and my daughter from one place, and 2 from another place). To make matters worse, when the receptionist initially entered me into their system, she input an incorrect address, so none of the important stuff even made it to me. After the birth of my baby, I asked about it and they told me I needed to contact their Colorado billing affiliates. After over a week of trying to get in direct contact with someone, we figured out that they had the incorrect address. Then I corrected it with them, and also with St. Francis directly. I thought that the issue was resolved, but then I got a letter from a collections agency for a small bill that had gone unpaid. When I called them, it was for an ultrasound which was billed to me directly through another place. But, since St. Francis had the wrong information, they gave that place the wrong information and I never knew because my statement went to an incorrect address and I was never contacted by phone. So, I paid the collections agency (very upset because I have excellent credit, and always maintain excellent payment histories) and I called the other place directly to complain and they looked up my acct and corrected my address. After that I thought everything was finally all settled until yesterday when I received another letter from the same collections agency saying that I owed another balance from the same place that I corrected my address with. When I called, they told me that St. Francis sent them the wrong address with the claim so that was where they sent the statement (again) and that they didn't link patient accounts together even if it was the same person. They could see in their system where I had called to update it, but my bill still went to collections!!! Why should my credit be compromised because St. Francis got it wrong from the start? What a headache, and a hit to my credit! It's unfair. On my next baby, I'm going to save myself a headache and go somewhere else and have the billing process and contacts and everything outlined ahead of time. No new Mother wants to spend countless hours going through pages of bills coming at her from multiple directions.

Denise gets 4 stars (she's fabulous)
St. Francis gets 1 star (billing process is a train wreck)
Their outsourced places get 0 stars (billing practice and policies may not even comply with proper billing standards)

Called there in search of my wife who I thought had went there (was just worried cause the roads were bad and there was a pileup on I-70 checking to make sure my wife was ok she wasn't answering her phone) but got immediately transferred to the wrong department after the girl cut me off mid sentence and said really after I told her what I was calling for! let me come up there in person and see if I get the same reaction im not one for rude customer service I didnt choose the girls job smh

I received my OB care for my entire pregnancy here with midwife Kiersten. She made my entire experience from pregnancy test to birth enjoyable. Kiersten is very careful to make sure that you have a say in how your pregnancy goes. For example, I did an alternative blood sugar test by monitoring my blood sugar at home with a normal diet instead of taking the orange drink because it made me extremely sick for one, and then it showed my blood sugar high. When I did a normal diet, even with eating candy my blood sugar did not get anywhere near the point it was showing with the orange drink. If you want minimalist intervention in your pregnancy you will get it. I highly recommend Kiersten!

Awful. From the moment the receptionist first spoke to us, we received a completely unwelcome and negative attitude that only amplified over the next couple of appointments.

We are a dual insured couple, expecting our first child, and will never use this place again. They then can't find our lab results, which screen for major disorders. See ya St Francis. You'll never have my business again.
