I went on a Tuesday I believe so well drinks were $2 -- what a great deal! I was so excited, my friend and I both had 2, and I paid both our tabs. The next day I checked my debit card, and there was a $50 hold on my account from them! I tried to get in contact with them several times, but heard nothing back. The hold eventually went away, but it was still a very frustrating experience. Not to mention it's always dead and the bartender was rude. I will not be returning here ever.

I went here with my girlfriend and we ordered 3 drinks, a tab of 19$ - the next day we noticed a 100$ charge on the card.
Without notifying us beforehand The Cellar puts a $100 hold on your card.
When I spoke to the owner Joe, with cowardice he attempted to pass it off onto Visa, and said that all bars do it - to the average person this may be an acceptable answer, but I know otherwise.
Even in speaking to his own employees they admitted he only started doing so recently and I know the business actually determines the hold and not the card company. For a 19$ charge I feel this is extremely unethical and so did Visa when I contacted them.
Do not use a credit card at this establishment... do not go to this establishment.

this place was dead! they expect a band to bring in business then tell them to turn the music down. Who books a band from 7pm to 9pm and expect them to bring in business. NO regular crowd. Pathetic! The manger was Extremely rude! Took a table away from my friend While He Was Sitting There! The wait staff and bar tenders are SO uptight. I would Never go here again. Even if the food and drinks were free! Stay away and go somewhere that is less uptight and more laid back. This place has Nothing going for it. Just A Horrible experience.

Mr. Big above obviously works at the place, it's not crowded ANY night of the week, drinks are extremely overpriced for a "nightclub" on the side of rt.130 in Hamilton ($4 domestics, $6 mixed shots?), and VIP/bottle service is a couch in the corner of a room. Overall it was fun, but only if you're down with the South-Jersey Guido style type of party. And beware of the cougars on the prowl.
