If I could give it less than one star I would! The out side of this building looks like a doctors office for starters. Not a very welcoming place. I walk in and it looks like I took a step back into a dirty 90's diner. Everything just looked old and dirty. We got seated and the waitress brought over some waters. The lemon fell out of my water onto the sticky table and she grabbed it and put it back on the brim of my cup... there was dirt on both sides of the lemon. We had to get up and leave after that, and sifting through the sticky menus. I've been to bad places in my life, but that may have been the worst. And the prices were about $3-$4 more than your average diner prices. And the menus had basic diner food, nothing special. I was scared to eat there because I was so disgusted.

Typical dinner fare, huge portions, good food, comfort food. Breakfast all day of course, hot coffee with unlimited refills, etc. Perfect for late night too!

The service was amazing!! The only reason I am giving one star is because the prices are ridiculously high. For two sunny side up eggs and a glass of orange juice was $8.00. Other than their high prices it was very good and clean

I have been going to Golden Dawn Diner for their Mac N Cheese since I was a little girl. My sister & I use to beg our parents to take us there on Friday nights. Now that I have a 2 year old boy, I was excited for him to try the Mac N Cheese. My Husband and I are working from home today so we couldn't eat lunch in the Diner, but we often get food to bring home. So when my husband & my son went to pick up lunch, he was confused when they denied him the Kids size MacNCheese. My husband respected their rule but showed them he was with a child under age 10. He was more stunned when they continued to say "we don't allow children's macNcheese to be ordered to-go" so my husband awkwardly asked about buying a full sized portion, he nearly begged to pay full price for a kids size! He just wanted my sons favorite food from the Diner I spoke so highly of. They said they don't have a full size portion, that there are "no exceptions" , & proceeded to ring up the bill. Clearly I'm awful at writing a review, since I never do. But this was just flat out ridiculous. So Thank you Golden Dawn, for being so helpful & customer friendly.......

We had such a great experience at Golden Dawn Diner tonight. The food was great and the service was terrific! Ask for Barry to be your waiter, he was the best. We also had a wonderful conversation with the very helpful and kind woman at the register. Go eat there, you won't be disappointed !
