Being familiar with Russian cuisine, I thought to try this restaurant based on good reviews. Boy, was I wrong...
We went there on a Saturday afternoon, around lunch time. There were no other customers. Despite that fact, the waiter did not come to us right away after bringing the menus. We were not offered any drinks nor breads or any other things you would usually get offered in other places. We ordered white borscht, stuffed cabbage with beet salad, pierogis (12pcs) and red cabbage salad. Being familiar with all these dishes, I must say that we didn’t like anything except the beet salad which was just a regular cooked beets with a bit of oil (it’s very hard to spoil such an easy dish).
The white borscht was very sour and didn’t have any veggies inside except their kielbasa and half an egg. The red cabbage salad was served with some weird dressing that I couldn’t eat at all. The pirogies (that looked like pelmeni - for those that familiar with Russian cuisine - ) with meat were off, the ones with cheese were a bit better, but still far from good. My 4 year old son knows what pelmeni are and he loves them, but these ones he didn’t want to eat. The service was not good at all. The waiter disappeared after bringing the food and did not come out even once.
Long story short, we will never come here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

In a crappy part of town but that doesn't reflect the food. The pierogi was amazing and not that expensive, you get a ton of food for the cost. The service was very good. Definitely somewhere to go again.

Despite a limited menu the restaurant was out of items (we were there at 4:30 in the afternoon ). It took several minutes to seat us even though there was only one other party there at the time. We were made to feel as if our presence there was an inconvenience. What restaurants serve soda in a can ?
