Not the Sweet Lucy's Smokehouse I remember.
The food was lukewarm at best. It gave me stomach issues the next day, and I generally have a strong stomach when it comes to eating meat.
I bought the $21 platter with 4 meats, and there was still barely any meat in the container. They were supposed to be 4 ounces each. It came with 3 sides that were supposed to be "4 ounces" but really it's about 3 small spoons full. The Mac and "Cheese" was the most bland thing you can imagine. There was no seasoning to it at all, and it was pretty dry and colorless. It didn't have to be yellow from cheddar cheese, but there was no cheese to speak of. The chili came in a 2-ounce plastic container. The corn bread was underwhelming. It was pretty dry, and putting butter on it only made it half as good as real corn bread. The smoked collard greens were fine.
The barbecue sauce they use is all right. It's better than the store brand stuff out there, but if you're used to eating things with vinegar or any heat (like any Sichuan or Indian food), the barbecue sauce is pretty underwhelming.
I had the pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, and kielbasa. The ribs were probably the best, and despite them being lukewarm, I enjoyed them. The kielbasa was honestly worse than what you could buy at the supermarket, and the pulled pork and pulled chicken were just ok. I added hot sauce to everything because there was no taste to be found in most of the food.
Overall, I'll never come back. Maybe we came at a bad day or the week or time, but we small portions of poorly seasoned, dry, lukewarm food.

I absolutely can not get enough of this place! My dad used to contribute so much to the cart they had before the resturant opened. He Always said "I probably helped them get to where they are now because of how much I ate there." I have no problem continuing that tradition every time I'm in that part of philly! Keep up the good work guys!

I have had barbeque all over the South and Southwest and their Ribs, Pulled Pork and Brisket is as good as it will ever get. Has a great hometown and friendly atmosphere. If you're in Town, stop by and enjoy this gem of an eatery.

Wonderful unch for three co-workers. Very tasty BBQ pork and brisket met our expectations. Cornbread was a nice side. And we shared a chocolate chip bread pudding with fresh whipped cream for dessert. We were there at 11:30.... it was a good time to beat the lunch rush

Food is hands down amazing! They just expanded their dining room. The bar is so adorable with a great selection at a cheap price. Happy hour special are on point! I could go on! Don't pass up on the Philly sandwich! You'll regret it!
