Every time I came in here the woman at the front desk was always giving me a big welcome and helping me with what I needed. Students gave me a great haircut and exactly what I wanted, that's why I keep going back. And when I went on a day they weren't accepting service by accident, they gave me a half off coupon.

Worst experience of my life. As soon as i entered the receptionist Casey was already very rude! numerous people agreed as she got into an argument with another client calling out her attitude. Going in i asked for a silver highlights through a cap and they disregarded my request and went with foils. TWO teachers helped the student MS D and MS Coop. Both Messed up my hair horribly. They bleached my head 3 seperate times and it only got worse and worse. Not only was my hair super blotchy and patchy like a Dalmatian but i got chemical burn on top of it. My head burned so bad even when the water hit it. my hair is broken in so many sections and my baby hairs are fried down supper short. It was heart breaking. ON TOP OF THAT Casey gave me a price of 60$ telling me i received balyage and all these beautiful hair styles I DID NOT SEE. My hair was horrific and on top of the traumatizing experience she wanted to over charge me with a spark of her hideous personality. Not only did she get aggressive with me when i told her i would not pay but she banned me from ever returning. MIND YOU my hair wasnt even blow dried. They just hopped me off the hair wash port and rushed me out because they were closing.

Everyone there is very friendly, but I had to wait over an hour to be seen and ended up with a pretty bad dye job. The student who did my hair asked worrisome questions from the beginning, like if she could leave certain parts of my hair alone and where on my head I wanted my highlights to begin-- when I tried to explain that I wanted separate pieces highlighted from the root for an overall lighter effect that could grow out without looking harsh, she convinced me to do a balayage technique instead and leave my roots alone. I agreed, trusting the teacher who was often called over for advice. I've had balayage before and this was not a well done balayage-- I ended up with a harsh uneven line between my natural brown hair (about two inches from my roots) and the much lighter yellowy blond. They used toner to take down the original yellowy Orange tone, but the end result is still very brassy. The brassiness wouldn't upset me so much if it wasn't for the harsh line between my natural hair and the blond; it looks like I dyed my whole head this brassy blonde color and let the roots grow out for a few weeks. The student herself seemed disappointed with it but assured me that it was "no worse than I had before". she suggested I come back so she could tone my hair again to make it less brassy, but didn't seem concerned when I pointed out the harsh root line. all in all, it ended up costing the same amount I would have paid at a traditional salon. like I said, everyone there was very sweet, and I'm sure they'd be a good choice for a simple haircut or blowout. but if you're thinking of doing color at all, I would suggest sticking to a regular salon-- where you'll pay the same, probably wait much less time, and end up with a dye job you don't have to color correct the next day.

I have been having my hair done here for several years. I first went in for a color correction after a disastrous home color job. The teacher helped the students fix my color and I left with a lovely cut as well.

Over the years I have only had 2 less than satisfactory experiences. One bad cut, and one bad foils when 2 girls worked on me at the same time.

I will continue to go there for full highlights, color and cuts because the senior students do a very good job at a ridiculously low price.

Be prepared to spend several hours there for color work, however.
