This was a life changing 3 weeks. Recovering from a stroke. The nursing staff were excellent, the therapy staff were excellent. Arrived unable to walk, left able to walk. Arrived terrified my life was over, left knowing a productive, enjoyable life was ahead for me. Many caring, knowledgeable, professional people work here and did their utmost to provide a comprehensive recovery program for me. Having to go through the life changing trauma of a stroke was made much more understandable, possible to overcome and able to succeed by the wonderful people at Health South.

My wife went in for therapy. They were awful. They would start her late, end early; yet charge for a full hour when only 35-45 min of work was done. She would request certain exercises that benefited more, but they would rather place her on a peddling machine for 20-30 min while they go off on break.
The doctor couldn't do much because we waited for designated nurse to get previous health records... call each month, 6+ months - still nothing.
This place is taking senior citizen's SSI and wasting everyone else's time & money.

Too many patients to nurses. They do not follow state regulations to allow nurses to determine safe nursing loads so they put their customers at risk. Call competing rehab hospitals and ask what the nurse to patient ratios are.
