I have called this restautant many times to get reservations. I have drove there in hope of getting in. This restaurant is closed! Looks like a neat place. Maybe someone will reopen it again.

On November 29, 2014 a chilly night. We went up to the roof top and decided that is where we would have a couple of drinks close to the fire. After sitting and enjoying the cool night air we also decided to eat up there as well. What a wonderful evening. We had the Red Fish Pontchartrain which was amazing and topped it off with a slice of Pumpkin Spice cheese cake. The staff went out of there way to make our night perfect, thank you.

The medium ribeye was good, the Rockefeller chicken was good, the Chicken Mediera was good ( but not as good as the Rockefeller), and the mashed potatoes were good. But the real winner was their buffalo chicken cigar appetizers. Having never been to this restaurant before nor having these dishes, I was impressed and would recommend this place to a friend on a date (candles at the table).

I took my wife to Jakes for her birthday. Good thing we had reservations, because the place was empty. They took us upstairs to a little table against the wall. I ordered a Crown Royal on the rocks my wife ordered a Merlot. The waitress returns with my Crown in a glass a little larger than a shot glass and the wine glass was half full (or half empty). My drink was $7 and the wine was $8. The dinner rolls were cold and hard as a rock, the waitress told us that is the way they're supposed to be and since we weren't going to eat them, she stuck her fingers into one and pealed it open to show us the center was still soft. Nice! When our $32. , 6 oz. filets arrived (the size of my shot glass) they were accompanied by baby red potatoes that looked and tasted like they were from a frozen TV dinner. I also ordered a side of asparagus @ $6. There were six pathetic little spears on a little rectangular plate. They looked like they were left overs from the day before, at a buck apiece. So I'm eating my little fillet when my wife points out the fact that there is a Cockroach coming down the wall. As I watched it proceed, it stopped at eye level, raised up and had a stare down with me. I look back at my wife and she is in the process of pulling a long hair out of her mouth. Gag! The entire meal, including cocktails and a $10 tip cost $113.00 Since it was my wife's birthday I decided to wait until the next day to mention this unfortunate situation to the management. I talked to the owner, she was very gracious and sincerely shocked. She generously offered another meal "on the house". I know she thought she was being fair and sincere, but we gracefully declined not wanting a repeat experience and a brow beating by the help.. ** A refund would have been the correct answer.**

I had a $26 ribeye, my wife and friends all had a $20 pork tenderloin. Mine was under cooked and the server told me, "That's just how ribeyes always are." Theirs was overcooked and the server told them, "Well, it's a new experience for you."
She was continually rude. The manager was totally unhelpful, and the service was VERY slow.
The atmosphere is fantastic, however, and the fact that you can buy high quality cigars right off the menu is really great. That was our experience.
