This is a review of the OrderUp app side of their business. You can only order food from them through the OrderUp app if you are buying $100.00 worth of food. Yes you read that correctly $100.00 worth of food and on top of that you have to also pay a $15.00 delivery fee. Why even use OrderUp with this requirement? That is catering in my book. Who orders that much food and if you did it better beat out every other pizzeria on the planet in every way.

A friend of mine recommended La Vera to me, so I decided to try it. It was amazing pizza! Best ive had in a while. Quick delivery as well. Very pleased

This is a gift from God to VA Beach. I am not kidding. We have been looking for a good place to eat for the last 5 years. We visit Va Beach at least 4-5 times every summer and have tried a new place every visit to finally find our favorite.
This is the place. We will not go anywhere else ever if we are down there. The owners are extremely nice, the hospitality is similar to how you feel when you go visit your parents house.
We have two young girls that can be a handful and they made us feel like we were home.
The food is absolutely delicious, I let the chef make us whatever he felt we would like and both items turned out amazing. The icing on the cake is that all the meats are Halal, which means they are from animals that are raised humanely and for the most part non GMO.
So comparing this to other pizza joints in va beach since everyone gets pizza. There is a place called Giovani's it think and there pizza is honestly just ok compared to this place. Doughboys is an overpriced pizza joint that makes you pay basically to sit down and feed you frozen pizza.
Lastly the owners customized just about everything on the menu for us since they make the food themselves no pre-made stuff, everything is made to order. All other pizza joints are like frozen pizza. Our favorite items are the Parmesan chicken and ravioli wraps (i think that is what they are called)

The pizza arrived folded in half from what must have been an epic delivery ride. No napkins. No fork for my caeser salad. The garlic bread looks like a sub roll lazily drizzled with some olive oil-like substance and expertly baked in a cool oven for 15 seconds.
Unfortunately the taste didn't live up to the sloppy appearance. Pizza was mediocre.

Great pizza , great service. Love the homemade pizza and fresh toppings. It's so nice to have good pizza at the beach. Definitely the best around !
