Wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Johnson was so kind and very helpful. He recommended the best treatment for our dog. His staff was kind and they were all very personable and professional.

Outstanding service! When Pepper ( my lab) broke her leg on a Saturday afternoon, we frantically called around trying to find an emergency vet in Virginia Beach that would see her. We were able to get a hold of Birdneck Animal hospital and they were able to get her right away. They were so caring to Pepper and helpful answering all of my questions regarding her injury and how to tend to her. They are by far the premier Virginia Beach veterinarian hospital. We are so grateful for their service and care.

Love this vet, however, I did call after hours last week and never received a call back...kinda disappointed. My husband called after hours number and gave both his cell number and mine (around 7pm). Left a message and got no call back. Not even a follow up call the next day. In the meantime, we had to take my sweet boy to the emergency vet where they cleaned him and bandaged him up.

I worked for Dr. Johnson at Birdneck Animal Hospital for 3 years. I worked all aspects of the job, including reception, veterinary assistant, as well as managing the clinic. I highly recommend Birdneck Animal Hospital to anyone looking for the utmost care of their pet. Dr. Johnson gives the most thorough, comprehensive exams on patients that I have ever seen. I've been to other clinics, having had pets my whole life, and no exam has come close. Dr. Johnson gives dedicated one on one time with each patient and their owner, and is always courteous and compassionate. Dr. Johnson has a small group of employees, which are exceptional. The clinic has a family atmosphere because of this, and you will be remembered and greeted with a smile each and every time you visit.

Dr. Johnson runs a full service hospital. He will see your well pets for routine exams and vaccinations, as well as seeing your pets if they are not feeling their best. Surgeries, blood-work diagnostics, laser therapy, x-rays, ultrasounds...the clinic has everything you will need.
