Park, playground & softball field within walking distance of the Navy Yard and the Hill. There are parties and picnics here all the time as it is surprisingly quiet and serene given the location downtown right by the highway.
Great for off leash dogs 🐩- beware though, in the fall there are a large number of squirrels in the area that will challenge even the most reliable doggo.

Nice park with great free-time options. The tennis courts are wonderful, they have beach-volleyball and picnic tables.

Garfield is one of the best parks on Capitol Hill. It connects the growing neighborhood of Navy Yard with established Capitol Hill. It's a pretty big park with cherry blossom trees, a pretty cool playground, and a graffiti skate park below the underpass. It's safe, quiet, and a peaceful oasis for families. They also have bocce ball courses to enjoy!
