A brand new park part of The Wharf development, it's very nice and new, I just wish they could have incorporated the old SW Waterfront globe lights and transition to the Wharf lights it's doesn't fit in as well.

The Southwest Waterfront Park has been around for a long time, and it shows both in its beautiful tall trees that line each side of the walkway, as well as in the cracked and broken concrete. It's a gem of a view, it's quiet and peaceful, so even though it could use some repairs, people love to walk their dogs here, bike along the water, and there are even a few poke stops and a poke gym for the kids.
This is one of the reasons to live in Southwest, but I wouldn't call it a place for tourists because there isn't anything to "do." It's largely in a residential area, and not close enough to food and activities to go out of your way for it unless you need to get away from the crowds for a picnic or something.
There also has been a recent gorgeous addition at the North end near where the dinner cruises depart, with brand new masonry, thoughtful hardscaping with winding paths, and flowering plants.
