This is a great place if you love plants and just a place to get away and walk. Its free and and has lots of area to go. The bonsai collection is fantastic as well.

Nice place to be outdoors surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. Each "attraction" is pretty far away from each other, so I would recommend either having a car or a bike to move around. If you have little time I would recommend the bonsai section, which closes at 4pm while the arboretum closes at 5pm.

Great family venue. Loads of places to explore for everyone. Bonsai trees are a outstanding and the Capitol columns make for a great hide and seek venue. There are trails galore for both hiking and biking. Every season brings something to new to discover and best of all it is all free.

The National Arboretum has so much to offer and so many beautiful, odd sections. However, in the Grove of State Trees, they do not have the state of Delaware. I recognize that we are the second smallest state and easy to forget about, but really!? Instead, where DE should be, Alaska is listed again. Only the description is accurate, but it isn't very readable. For the record, Delaware's state tree is the American Holly. Also, some of the other state tree plaques are difficult to read.

Very beautiful place with lots to see including amazing bonsai trees that are hundreds of years old. Free to park. Most trees and plants are labelled so you always know what you're looking at. Strangely, one of my favorite things was the vegetable and herb garden and seeing various peppers and other fruits that I have eaten, but never seen growing.
