Their website said open for lunch until 3:00 on Fridays. My family was hangry after landing in the neighborhood from a delayed flight and long taxi ride, so we walked 15 minutes to try it. We arrived at 2:20 to find a locked door and a staff member inside talking on the phone. We knocked and waved, but he wouldn't acknowledge us. The sign on the door confirmed that Bird should be open for another 40 minutes, but all we got was ignored. I guess they don't really need to sell food here? Fortunately there was a real professional cafe down the block.

The most perfectly cooked chicken I have ever eaten. Service was slow. But the chicken, so good. Shrimp and grits received rave reviews as well.

Ate here on Sunday. It has the potential to be great, but failed on Sunday. It was 1100 - NO COFFEE and no coffee beans to make coffee. Really?
Liquor license is suspended, so they could not serve a drink. We waited 10 minutes to order and over 15 minutes to get food. FAIL! The table next to us was about to walk out when their food finally arrived, we were close to walking out ourselves. I hope they can get it together.

The food was amazing! I mean, really really good. Well balanced and delicious. Unfortunately, that's the only really good thing about this place. The service was slow and it took 45 minutes for our exceptional food to arrive by which point I was so cranky I couldn't enjoy it.

It's like an extension of my kitchen. Food is great, atmosphere is relaxed and eclectic and the drinks are made with the freshest ingredients. The servers are all WONDERFUL - always working to make it easy for you to enjoy your time there
