Went for brunch and the food was pretty good overall. We had the eggplant spread, the shakshuka, a cheese dish, and the chickpea fries which are pictured. The fries were great although the food was on the safe side in the flavor area. Still good, but Ancient Rivers is a block away and better for Mediterranean food in my opinion.

We consistently love Kapnos. We always get the eggplant dip which is delicious. They make the best Brussels sprouts. They’re different every time, probably based on the season but they’re always a winner. This time we got the marinated lamb and it was awesome. Kapnos is one of the best tapas restaurants in DC.

Great vegan options here. Awesome staff that catered to our likes and dislikes . Flavorful food and price worthy presentable dishes. Dining done right. Made my anniversary memorable!!

I'm a huge Top Chef fan, so this was a real treat! Went for my birthday and it was excellent. We felt taken care of by service, loved the atmosphere, and the food was amazing and authentic. I also was kinda geeking out seeing some top chef alumnis in the kitchen (chefs/kitchen is open and visible to the diners - I love that!). We will be back!

I am Greek through and through. Kapnos is absolutely world class. Eat at the counter and get the true experience. The chef, George, is a wizard and a gentleman. He took the time to talk to my wife and me and made the experience that much better.
