So much history in this restaurant. Came here to experience a restaurant that presidents have come to eat. Definitely expensive. Be prepared to drop $25+ on a meal for dinner. I ordered the Onion Soup and it was the best French Onion soup I have ever had. My husband ordered the Hot Brown. This was very good. Extremely flavorful and unique. I would recommend both of these items. Beautiful restaurant inside. Good service and food. I would recommend.

Martin's is an understated bar with a lot of history, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's a welcomed contrast to many of the over-the-top places in Georgetown.

Very good food, I mean very good. Service was super nice and attentive. Unfortunately there was a man across the street screaming obscenities the whole hour we were there and it just ruined the time. Maybe eat inside if there is a lunatic screaming at people with his shirt off outside.

Me and my sister were visiting Washington for the weekend and stumbled oppn Martin's Tavern and had dinner on a Saturday night. I looks great and reminds me of a British pub so I was not sure how the food was going to be, but we had nothing to worry about. What an amazing place! Absolutely stunning food, we had the seafood paella and the tuna steak and they were both perfectly cooked.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they really took good care of us.
I will definitely come back to Martin's the next time I'm in town. Thank you for a great experience.

I've been coming here since I was a child. I visit this place at least twice a week. The menu is fantastic, the bartenders know how to make classic drinks (a lot of places don't these days), the table staff is always good...do I go on? The ambiance is lovely, cozy, and the place is storied! Easily my favorite establishment in DC.
