Two things really separate Mexicali from the competition: dope salsa (seriously you gotta try their salsa) and sincere, friendly service. The waiting staff is super attentive and never seems to mind me constantly asking for refills on chips and salsa (see above). The host, DJ, even knows my name, and personally checks in with me to make sure my friends and I are happy. Their burritos taste authentic, and the vibe is exactly what I'm looking for after a day on the job. I know I'll be coming to this place consistently for as long as I'm in the area.

I've made Mexicali Blues a regular spot of mine since moving to the DC area a couple years ago. You'll get a lot of bang for your buck here. Great food, cool spot on the corner of Wilson and Garfield (great outdoor seating when the weather is nice), but the service puts them over the top. Super-friendly wait staff/management that clearly want to see their customers enjoying themselves.

This place has the food and the ambiance. Ive tried almost all of their food options and have fulfilled my craves. Their drinks are yummy they even make their own margarita mix which i personally prefer. The staff in this place all exceed to fulfill their customers needs. I have been coming for years and will continue to come. :)

My friends and I have been getting together at Mexicali Blues every Tuesday night for over four years now, and we absolutely love the place. The staff is awesome and the burritos are delicious. Tuesday night at Mexicali Blues is always a weekly highlight.

With so much competition in the Arlington & D.C. area, Mexicali Blues is AUTHENTIC & CONSISTENT! The food is quality and the perfect amount. The onion rings are the BEST in town. The staff is attentive and friendly! WOULD highly recommend. 👌🏻
