Really great German food, good portion size and friendly staff. I was sceptical at first because I am German, but the Schnitzel and the Spätzle were almost as good as my grandma's.

This tiny, cozy restaurant and its staff are 100% in-theme for early 20th-century Bavaria; the atmosphere is totally immersive. The servers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the cuisine and are very helpful for those not familiar with German dishes.
Be prepared to parallel park or to walk a fair distance from the metro, and absolutely call for a reservation: they're always busy.

Some of the best German food outside of Bavaria. I love that they somehow managed to be family friendly restaurant yet also it's totally appropriate to down a liter of beer with your schnitzel.

Probably the best restaurant I have ever been to. Do not assume all you can get is some sausage & pretzels. I recommend the beet & cabbage salad. Potato pancakes are pretty great too. The decor is beautiful inside, & wait staff is super nice.

My wife and I went to Old Europe on Valentines Day 2017 and had a great time. The food was really great. Very traditional German food with very nice size portions. If you get and appetizer and an entree, you will be waddling out the door at the end of your meal. The staff was very attentive and super friendly, in their traditional German Oktoberfest attire. The parking lot is right next door to the building and there is street parking on both sides. They are in their 69th year of operation and seem to be a Mom & Pop run place. They are family friendly and will stop everyone in the place to sing Happy Birthday to you. Defiantly give them a try.
