Great family style szechuan. We ordered way too much so I was able to try a mix. The food has a good amount of spice without being over powering.

Panda Gourmet is okay, as Chinese in America goes. We ordered the winter mushrooms, Singapore noodles, and the Country tofu. I recommend winter mushrooms and country tofu. The sauce for mushroom dish was good. Tofu was spicy but a bit too oily. The Singapore noodles were like instant ramen. The cook didn't stir the powder pack enough and so there were clumps of seasoning distributed unevenly throughout the dish. You can tell a good Chinese restaurant by the quality of the tea. This one serves tea in Lipton sachets. If you've never been to Asia or don't know authentic Chinese, this place will do. It's better than Panda Express. It's not worth the trip if it's out of the way. But if you're in the area, and don't want Dunkin Donuts, feel free to stop in.

The food was okay but there were no authentic condiments you'd expect to see at a dine-in Chinese restaurant like soy sauce or real hot mustard with that kick of wasabi, only carryout packets of the fake, bland stuff. I had the sweet and sour chicken which is supposed to have fresh green peppers, carrots and pineapple chunks. This dish had none of that. It was made more like a plain sesame chicken, fried too hard and the sauce was all wrong. But it was crowded with plenty of tourists, so I guess people like eating there. The food at Spring Garden in Silver Spring is way better.

Very good Chinese place. They serve you authentic spicy flavorful food with no apologies. It doesn't have the fanciest interior, but the price is good and the food is good. Don't come here if you like bland Chinese food served at mall food courts.

The food had excellent flavors. Some came out room temperature but that isn't a huge deal. Well worth a try-- and the menu is organized nicely with pictures so branch out! If you like spicy food, ask them to kick it up a bit, nothing had much heat. My favorite things were the handmade noodles and the cumin beef burger and the wonton soup. Panda Gourmet has not seen the last of me! I will return stronger than ever.
