I had calamari which was reasonable
But the mussels were almost raw
My drink arrived just before leaving despite several requests
My friends were happy with their meals

On Friday, September 22, 2017, my wife and I, along with a best bud and his daughter, drove an hour and a half in pre-rush hour D.C. traffic to see Dave Chapelle live at the Warner Theater. I’d saved a number of nearby restaurants on Google Maps, and we had another hour and a half to have a bite and a drink before the show. We asked a passerby for recommendations, and after mentioning that he worked at the Warner, he gave us several nearby suggestions including The Oceanaire Seafood Room, which is the restaurant we just kind of ended up in. Our visit wasn’t anything short of top-notch.
Service was impeccable. Our waiter, Tom, was the training film definition of smooth and efficient service. He was friendly and knowledgeable and carried himself with an endearing professional swagger. Our food came out to our table so quickly it was somewhat amazing, and everything was delicious. Tom's recommendations were spot on. We tried the crabcakes (and being from Maryland’s Eastern Shore on the Chesapeake Bay we know crabcakes), clam chowder, the tomato & mozzarella salad and the iceberg salad, and the family-style sides of truffle whipped potatoes, creamed corn, and grilled asparagus, and there wasn’t a disappointing dish on the table. I enjoyed a Stout Old Fashioned while my wife loved her Spiced Pear Mule enough to have a second. If there was one disappointment it was that Guinness wasn't served on draft, but if a bar doesn't sell a lot of a certain beer, particularly a beer like Guinness, I'd rather have a fresh glass from a can, than an already-flat draft. So the complaint is slight, and the glass of Guinness worked just fine.
In an hour and half we were wined and dined and impressed in a 5-star fashion. The Oceanaire let’s you know up front it’s high-end dining, which means it’s pricey, but as a treat on a special night out, our experience could not have been more perfect.

Fancy place, nice atmosphere. Went with a group of IT execs. Food was good, tried a bunch of apps and had the "lobster fried chicken" as my main. Its pieces of lobster meat coated in batter and fried like southern fried chicken.

So glad I came here for my bday lunch (almost didn't after reading reviews)! I had clam chowder, crab cake sandwich with creamed corn side, and baked Alaska dessert, all of which were excellent. Creamed corn surprisingly delicious. They light the huge dessert on fire after pouring Bacardi 151 over it to toast the meringue. Makes it taste like roasted marshmallows. However, the Bacardi actually gave the vanilla sauce and cake a funky taste, so I only ate the ice cream and meringue. I'd recommend going without the Bacardi. Ice cream was pumpkin spice - yum! Finally, Stephanie, my server, gave top-notch service and the ambiance is great and very upscale but yet still with a beach feel due to the decor (very classy decor but beach colors). The jazz playing was the perfect touch. Thanks for an awesome birthday meal!

Please steer clear of this place. The food is good, but the customer service is terrible. I was served an extremely hot dessert because I returned two desserts that were not fresh. The dessert was so hot that it burned my mouth and completely melted the accompanying ice cream before I could even taste it. Perhaps I should have just left after the second dessert. I will say that the server was good. When I asked the manager what would be done to rectify the matter, I was referred to their Risk Management Department, which I thought was odd. It took over two months for them to tell me they would do nothing for me, and I kept having to follow up for a status. This is the first time I have ever dealt with a restaurant that dropped the ball in a major way and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. This is not okay.
