I have first put a great review for this business, I was very happy with them. Bessie is not very friendly to people, but she is great with the dogs (as far as I can tell). She cannot keep staff working there more than a week, and the many staff changes has caused issues with my girls. One separated my 2 dogs, which they shouldn't because one is a rescue that has anxiety issues when separated from her sister, and got her so anxious she pooped blood for 2 days. after that my oldest one, which has been going to Bessie's for over 2 years, wouldn't want to come into the building, and the last time, she was shaking so bad that I am worried what did they do to her. If Bessie can keep any decent worker, this is a good place. We are leaving the state, but I started taking my dogs to Dog Days of Sommer, and they are doing so much better.

If I could give this organization negative stars, I would, after how they inconsiderately and improperly handled my situation. I met representatives of this company at Woofstock 2011 and instantly got the impression they were all about dogs. Well, maybe they are, but they are not so much for the humans that bring the dogs in! First, if they tell you that they have a military discount, don’t count on it. That is only if you are called on military orders. So, in my case that I am in Wichita on military orders, but wanted to go home to see my family for a wedding, they would not give the discount. Second, do not call Bessie outside of business hours! She was impolite to me when I called to verify that they opened at 5am, but I got there and the sign said 5:30! Her response… “Hun, its 4:48”. I asked again… “I just want to verify that you will be open at 5 because I have a flight to catch at 6:20”. She then told me that they just haven’t updated the sign (or the website, I am to assume) but that the new hours are at 5. Finally, and most detrimentally, after wasting about fifteen minutes of my time the morning of my drop-off, turned out that they would not take my dog! When I called to set up the appointment, they told me that I needed proof of current rabies, bortadella within 6 months, and distemper within 3 years. Well, Jasper (my dog) had his distemper 2 years ago, so I didn’t get him another shot. When I tried to drop him off, they insisted that he needed distemper within a year. I explained that this was different than what I was told on the phone and that I had a flight to catch within the hour, so if they could make an exception. The attendant called who I assume was Bessie, twice, and both times was told that he needed it to be within a year and that they could not keep him. Long story short, I had to get Jasper back home, turn on the A/C, feed him, etc, run to the airport, run to catch my flight, and pray I could get someone to go to the house to get him. Mind you, I am new to the area and didn’t have friends yet, so I had to bother a co-worker and my landlord with the inconvenience of going to my house and picking up the dog and his stuff. I got no remorse, no apologies, no contact, nothing from this company! Not only will I never be using them again, but I have made it a point to spread the word to my military co-workers, not to use them either! For an organization that is supposed to convenience dog owners, they almost ruined my visit to see my family… I can’t even imagine if I was shipping out on military orders and had to deal with this in addition to my emotional distress!

Great daycare-- the only place I would leave my dog! Trustworthy and knowledgeable staff and a really clean facility. They are always happy to see my dog walk through the door. My dog loves it-- she is there about once a week. They have great packages for daycare and boarding-- check them out, you will NOT be disappointed.

The puppy cam on their website is such a great idea! It's a way to look at your pets and see for yourself how much fun they are having while you can't personally be there. I love Bessie's!
