The wait was stupid long for no reason and making a appointment for a follow-up has been difficult. Everything about planned parenthood sucks.

I had an incredibly unfortunate experience with the planned parenthood in wilmington, NC. I would not recommend anyone go to this facility as the PAs & midwife clearly do not value their patients safety or well being. I have always been a huge planned parenthood supporter and advocate, however after my recent experience I am beginning to understand the negative media surrounding them. I made a scheduled appointment after work for both my required annual examination AND birth control visitation and waited nearly an hour after My schedule appointment slot to be called back. At this time the PA took an additional 20 minutes to come and see me then told me that he only had time to complete 1/2 items I was schedule for. In other words I could either have my birth control implant completed OR my examination. This was after I reported right abdominal discomfort in my medical history. I was not seen for my examination on this date because the PA ran behind his schedule and wanted to leave on time despite his daily work duties not having bee satisfied. It is absolutely horrendous quality of care and I hope that no one else will have to go through this demeaning type of situation. Not sure why someone would go into healthcare if they don't value other people's health or want to actually make a positive impact. Do not go to this location.

First off, the staff was incredible. They made sure that I was comfortable throughout my entire experience, holding my hand and helping me through the process. The nurse midwife was a little stressed out, someone didn't show up for their shift and so the process took a very long time. So prepare yourselves with something to do and maybe even a blanket because it gets cold. I was happy that there were no protestors outside but I'm sure this isn't always the case. I was honestly terrified of what this experience would be to me, I've read and heard a lot of women say that their experiences were inhumane and staff treats you like garbage but this was NOT the case. I highly recommend this clinic, when the abortion process was over they provided some ginger ale and a heating pad. There are books where people have written words of encouragement and their experiences with the process which is very helpful to your support process. If you are making this same choice, I believe that you are in good hands at Wilmington Planned Parenthood

Wait is super long. Even when you have an appointment. Always wait for an hour and a half after your appointment time. HOWEVER staff is very friendly and the doctors are experienced and gentle. Just wish when you make an appointment they could get you in at that time. Been here many times, will return.

The wait time is extremely long but the staff is caring and patient. I can't complain.
