Has the potential to be a nice course if it were better taken care of. Played yesterday and while we made the best of it, the course conditions convinced us to not return. We regularly play at Suntides and Westwood which are both night and day better courses to play.
I will start with my positive opinions first, but the negatives really need to be worked on before I consider returning.
The staff and players here seemed really friendly, and the group ahead of us let our two join in for a round which is always a plus. I enjoy playing with another group to make a full party of 4 versus playing alone or with my normal golf buddy.
I really enjoyed playing the 2 par 3s over the lake, which make for a challenge on the side of accuracy and club choicing especially with a nasty cross wind. The second of the 2 have a nice backstop giving a great aim point for bouncing back onto the green.
The atmosphere here feels more laid back than on some of the other courses where as a walker we can feel rushed by groups behind us in carts.
On to the negatives though.
The fairways are all torn apart. Not a few spots here and there, but massive streaks of dirt gouges directly down the entire fairway on every hole.
The greens are extremely slow. It almost felt like I was putting on a normal fairway and the ball just would not go without absolutely smashing it. The greens are also not maintained very well. Dead spots and divot marks everywhere made this a disappointing experience.
Overall, we unfortunately will be marking this as a course we will not be playing at again any time soon, but may reconsider if the overall course maintenance improves.

Great! Dean and his staff are wonderful. Great, food, atmosphere, and top notch beer. The golf course is a shorter course but still plan on using all the clubs for you wanting to open up that driver. Very fun to golf here and hangout here. Food is some of best in Yakima!
