Thank you for Finally closing it. There were too many thugs in this gym. The members used to take up to 3 machines at once and they are always on a machine you want to jump on, "Oh I'm using that machine" while they are working out on another. Complaints to the staff were always met with try to go to another area they are not at.
I had been seriously considering changing to LA Fitness for some time. Thanks for closing it down, made my contemplating decision much easier.

I only have a membership here because its close to my house and its not packed like planet fitness. They NEVER have paper towels in the womens bathroom, there are 2 toilets and one has been down for about 6 mths. They nees to be open later!

Old machines need to be updated. Love the Zumba classes and instructors but it's bad and sad that we have to work out without AC in that room for over a month. The gym needs work.

In reviewing the posted reviews, there is a clear and consistent consensus. This particular location is completely unsanitary. There are no wipes to disinfect machines,rarely available paper towels and unkempt locker rooms. The staff is particularly unfriendly which is something I expect from young adults in their 20's that may not be well compensated. However, the most nasty and cynical character is their manager. It is clear that she has no management skills which is why she has many complaints and why the facility is poorly run. On top of all of these inconveniences, I decided to stay with the location after relocating to the Yonkers area. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because I was not aware of any suitable location close to my home. Avid gym goers know the importance of a convenient location to remain consistent. I am glad to say however, that the gym EQUALIZE is my new gym and is a world of difference. Located just about 10 minutes from Retro Fitness. More costly, but WELL worth it if this is what you have to deal with. Additionally, they just recently cut complimentary parking with limited notice. The location is in a very congested, low socioeconomic area. Tickets are readily given. Be weary if you drive.
