As a self-proclaimed bread snob (I used to live in San Francisco, home of Tartine, okay?) I love this place and their Como bread. Honestly, it's the best bread I've found in Portland and it freezes very well. They also have a good selection of baked goods that taste even better than they smell.

Very cool place for lunch. I enjoyed it! I didn't try this but I would like to- you can pick up things to take home and bake yourself.. Maybe next time.

Portland has better bakeries. Try Kent's Bakery or Cafe Honore. The danishes etc. were okay. So was the coffee. But none was outstanding. The seating did not work well for us -- we were a family of 6 and there was no single table to hold us all. Finally, I ordered a second coffee assuming I would get within a few minutes. I believe, there was a mix up in orders and the barista was simply slow. I had my entire family stand around waiting for my 2nd coffee. Well, we tried it -- but we won't come back.
