You will be greeted by a friendly pup (medium large dog, but super friendly, a few barks). We stayed in a 6 person dorm, but during slow season. There was only one other person in our accommodation with us. The 6 person is 3 bunk beds, single size. The shower is in the room, along with bathroom, all converted into one. The shower has a personal tank. If your shower starts getting cold, your tank has run out of hot water and is done. However, the next person has to wait 15 minutes for tank to reheat. No problem, just be aware. Breakfast, for us, was two cereals to choose from, bread that you can toast, jam and dulce de leche, along with coffee or tea.
The Hostal staff spoke English and Spanish. The gentleman who helped us was super friendly and gave a map to show us around the town and gave advice. Weird we could not check in sooner, but they had luggage storage and he was following policy.
The location is easy to find and less than 5 minute walk from ferry and the bus station.

Nice and cheap hostel in Colonia, simple but comfortable. Kitchen and living room are nice and welcoming. Great terrace to chill on the sun.

Nice basic breakfast, friendly staff and good location. Bathroom small, but functional, hot shower. No aircon, but fan.

Private rooms are expensive for what they are. Is clean though. Well equipped kitchen, hot shower, WLAN, good basic breakfast. Rooms are hot though.
