Pros
Smiley Annie makes you smile while your staying; she is a staff and receptionist at the lobby, helping all guests by advising on any travel information such as guided tours or spa. She is an ever best staff of the hotels among all hotels that I have stayed in. I also have no doubt she must be the same class among all hotels in Vietnam.

The location is quite good; very closed to the lake and they also have lake-view rooms. Also very closed to the old town. In front of the hotel, there are 24/7 stores, local restaurants, travel agencies, bars and cafes.

It is suitable for family tourists as well as for travellers, unless you stay in 5-stars hotel.

Breakfast is served from 6h30 so that it is good for traveller who start their trips earlier. Even, it is delicious!

Cons
It would be nicer if they have shared rooms for single travellers.

Room was clean and bathroom was larger than expected for a hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Breakfast room has view of the lake, great place to enjoy your cup in the morning. Breakfast was good with adequate options, including eggs made to order and one hot soup (pho or bun), plus a selection of typical breakfast dishes. Staff was very nice and helpful.

This is more of a motel. But rooms looked clean. SOME with views of the lake. There are rooms right next to reception, which are probably noisy. We decided not to stay here after viewing the room as we wanted a hotel, not a budget motel feel.

WHAT A JOKE!!! THIS PLACE IS A DIVE!!! DON'T BOTHER!!!

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO OR NEGATIVE I WOULD!!!

Well where to start... After reading reviews online I was really looking forward to staying here. Upon arrival(after seeing I was Western & my wife Vietnamese) we were told there wasn't any rooms available for the price advertised online & only had 'VIP' rooms left at almost 4 times the price!!!

After an exchange of words I told them to forget it & walked out in disgust, we were quickly huddled back inside & told the girl who served us made a mistake & they did in fact have 1 room left!!! Well.... All I can say is mould mould mould!!! Room 104 is the PITS!!!

They'll refuse to give you back your passport after ID verification but I did not let up until they gave it back to me.

THE STENCH OF MOULD IS OVERWHELMING!!! It's like breathing in straight mould spore, so much noise as you're right beside the lift/reception etc on ground level, nothing in the room worked, not even the kettle, let alone the spa bath!

The drains were blocked, the safe inoperable & trying to get the reception staff to assist in any way was a pointless waste of time, they were only interested in playing with their mobile phones or computer games!

On the other hand, kitchen staff in the rooftop dining room were quite pleasant & (after showing them how to make poached eggs) were very willing to help.

There are many other hotels in the same street & equally close to the lake/centre & better value. In all honesty the best part about this place was leaving!!!
