Hanoi Finnegans Hotel

I really recommend this place if you are going to Hanoi. First of all, it is located at Old Quarter where there are many coffee shops, restaurants and stores, 10 mins walk to the lake. After booking online, they emailed me immediately about my planned itinerary and helped me book tours at a reasonable price. Secondly, the room is spacious, bed is big and clean, has cabinets, cable tv, water heater, a refrigerator and a safety deposit box, water pressure and shower heater is also good. they changed towels and clean the room everyday replacing all toiletries used and even the complimentary coffee and tea. Third, the breakfast is great as they have choices of an egg meal or Pho (this is good and big) aside from that, you have a buffet of fresh fruits which include mango watermelon dragon fruit and other fruits i don't know about, Yogurt, bread and butter and of course, Vietnamese coffee. Fourth, the place is managed by the owners which makes it even more special as they make sure the place looks good and clean. Security is also good as they have cameras outside. They also have a small pond and a bonsai outside. Going up and down is also a breeze since they have an elevator. They also suggest where the best places to eat are. All in all, i would definitely come back and stay at Finnegans Hotel :)

The staff were absolutely fantastic. The best staff we have met in our entire trip to South East Asia. They didn't attempt to sell us any tours and were accommodating to any of our questions or concerns with fantastic English. The air conditioning stays on the entire time you are gone which is a treat during a hot day. They watched our bags for an entire day after we checked out next because our flight was delayed and didn't leave until 11 p.m. Very clean, nice shower great staff. Highly recommend

Booked a deluxe double room that should be with window. Got fake window with painting on the wall. No help from staff. Just said, yes is considered a window. Dirty bathroom. Not recommended. UPD: today before checking out we calculated our money (which amount we know for sure), and I realized that 30$ just gone. After this we asked management for video surveillance records, but they don't have cameras near guest rooms!!!!! And they told us that they don't have keys from our room. We asked them: so how did you put the fruits in our fridge during my absence??? And we got the answer: "we have keys, but other guests don't have!" Really, guys, is it a joke?????? So, I think they just decided to revenge us after we put them bad reviews on Google and call Agoda customer service regarding our room. So, please, if you want a have a good time in Hanoi just avoid this hotel!!!!!

Absolutely a thug. Imagine having physically grabbed on both arms by the self proclaimed owner of the hotel. Not only exercise unprofessional service rendered but having physically been abused and ushered out of the hotel is absolutely madness. My felt our life's were threatened and that I am dealing with a mob boss front desk cum owner. This hotel must be avoided at all cost even if u have to sleep on the street. Seriously there is nothing nice here at all. Far cry from what u would envision. Cheers
