Friendly staff but had quite a lot of construction going on during my stay- really disturbing!

One of the rooms had a broken door lock that couldn't get fixed, we had to change rooms and the other room had a toilet that didn't work. You could hear every noise from the other rooms from your room. The rooms didn't have air conditioning. The laundry prices were totally crazy. The only good thing was the location.

I normally stay in hostels, however wanted to spend a bit extra to have a gym, sauna and jacuzzi. On the website it clearly states:
Facilities and services include:
** A fully equipped gymnasium free entrance
** Jacuzzi chargeable
** Shower and personal locker free entrance
** Steam bath and therapeutic sauna chargeable

However, after I had paid I went to see the "health club", which was closed. Upon my inquiry I was told that the gym was shut and there was no sauna or jacuzzi. Feeling really disappointed I asked if I could have a refund as I had only been there for an hour. The receptionist laughed and said that she would only give me half of my money back, apparently it was my fault that I didn't check if the facilities were open/existent.
Just feels like another buisness who want to take advantage of tourists. In most places the hotel would offer you to use another gym for free, a small refund or at least a complimentary drink. However the receptionist didn't seem to understand the problem. She did however, look up local fitness clubs for me, however was not willing to contribute at all.
Apart from this the hotel is quite nice, however, if you want any facilities you can go elsewhere for the same price.

Good and elegant, convenient hotel. Good service. Breakfast is basic and clean.

Large rooms, very quiet at night even if room is overlooking the street, large and very modern bathroom, excellent and varied buffet breakfast, with individually prepared soups and eggs, large selection of fresh fruits breads yoghurts etc. Ideally located within the old Hanoi within walking distance to restaurants, museums, sightseeings, shops and the typical hanoïese traffic. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
