Had a really short stay in this hotel. When we came up the stairs there was a huge dead spider which looked like it had been there for some time. I guess if things like that are lying around you wonder what the rest will be like but it seemed clean.

The rooms look nothing like the pictures. Everything seems to be falling apart, including our sellotaped floorboards. There was also matresses in the hallway and was really unclean. I booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, and they asked if we could share a family room instead. I politely declined and asked for the 2 rooms. The lady was kind and brought us drinks while we waited and showed us places to visit on the map. Then we got one room which was on the 9th floor, but could only get the elevator to the 7th and walk the 2 floors. My mother was on the 7th floor and I asked to be put together but they also declined, probably because the room wasn't yet made (this was about 5pm). We were awoken the next day at 8am with drilling next door which they said they had to complete before the guests arrive. The breakfast is mediocre, the 'English breakfast' and 'American breakfast' is just toast with scrambled egg. Can't call this a English breakfast if there's no sausage bacon and beans! There is also juices and fruits. Upon the last day the manager asked if we wanted to stay an extra night, and I accepted. Upon the next morning an hour before check out time they asked us to leave. I reminded them that the manager said we could stay another night, but they misbooked it and also overbooked. Therefore we just left. I won't be returning, as I didn't feel treated well as a guest. On the other hand the beds are super comfortable! But there are cheaper deals with higher standard of rooms nearby, which is where we relocated.

BAD HOTEL. All round bad hotel. Incompetent staff. We booked 2 rooms but when we arrived the staff tried putting us all into 1 room and made us feel awkward for insisting that we have 2 separate rooms. On top of that, the day before we checked out the guy at the front desk asked if we wanted to stay another night, which we needed to, so we accepted. The next morning we were told at the very last minute that we have to check out - the guy failed to book us in for another night as promised and the hotel then became fully booked. What an absolute joke. This ruined our plans for the day as we had to pack up, find another hotel and move all of our stuff across (and then wait a few hours before we could actually get checked in). On top of that, the place is still a construction site. Constant noise starting very early in the morning so you get no peace. The breakfast is terrible too - they put watermelon in my cereal. I have a fairly open mind about the different cuisine here but fresh watermelon soaked in milk is a bit far. It's just a constant stream of incompetence and annoyances here so I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

Right from the beginning the staff were friendly and kind, and made our slavery relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms were a good size and tidy, the toilets were great (in hot climates, a good shower is a joy!), their breakfast menu (included in the price) was decent, and all for a good price - not to mention that it's located in the heart of the city!
2 things you should be aware of though - they're in the process of changing their name (it is now called "Serenity 2", having been taken over by another nearby hotel), and *don't ever ask them to book you transport from the hotel*. We did so multiple times, and every time it was late - it's much easier to just get a taxi on the street!
I hope you enjoy your stay - I know we did! :)

Very cheap but very worrying. The hotel had two names, room and whole building was very old, the staff were very helpful. I will not stay in this hotel in the future. Not suitable for sole travel, the local was in a maze
