Wonderful staff, they even rake the sea-weeds off the sand in the morning. The hotel is older, and it shows. Cleaning staff gets an 8/10 for corners and nooks and crannies of the bathroom being dirty. Snack food and breakfast in the concierge lounge was the highlight, quality and convenient - MAKE THAT UPGRADE. Food everywhere else is resort priced and very good, but nothing 5-star. We did the Night Dive Snorkel led by a real marine biologist/ecologist, it was the highlight of the entire trip (it wasn't scary)!! We felt safe and happy, although we never left the resort, so I cannot attest to the rest of the island. For us, there was no need to leave, as food and shopping where the only off-site attractions and we liked the on-site food just fine and didn't want to shop at souvenir stores. There is a cute shop at the Ritz.

It is a beautiful resort. The pools are fun and the food was good. I don't give it a 5 for a lot of reasons. It's a Ritz, so it is expensive. They have a big resort fee. The beaches in other islands like St John's are incredible, their beach is not. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The staff was great.

So amazing, worth the rate, especially off-peak season. Feels like you have the place to yourself. Beach and bay were incredible. Ferry over to St John's and visit the national park - skip the tourist trap there.

For my first international vacation, I wanted to go somewhere exotic, but without having to deal with strict travel restrictions. Some good friends of mine suggested that I travel to St. Thomas. After doing research they were correct, I didn't need any visas to come here and its an American territory which made this destination ideal. I wanted the best and nothing but the best for my family and I in terms of a resort, and from reviews I've seen online the Ritz Carlton hotel seemed to be the perfect choice. So I booked it. Upon arriving I immediately saw why many people loved this destination, it was right out of a movie. All of the staff were great. BUT, my biggest complaint was the speed when it cam to our service. A lot of times it took forever to get anything delivered to our room or wherever we were staying on the property, big turnoff for me.
On the other hand, I remembered my friend had recommended me to the Ritz Club so I decided to take the remainder of my time on vacation and stay here. I got in contact with a man named Matthew and he helped me book a residence and it was a lot more comfortable than staying in the hotel. Though the price point was a bit more expensive, the service was all the more superior. This was what I was looking for along. Sure, friendly staff who are always smiling is a plus, but what good is that if you can't be taken care of properly. The Ritz Club rectified this.
Overall it wasn't too bad at the hotel but it could've been better.
