The old bridge and stone mill at Petworth. It is hard to see the mill when the leaves are on the trees. Most of the old stone mills along the Napanee River are in ruins, but most other old stone buildings are still solid. It would appear that most were built by one contractor who skimped on the quality of mortar. Many were wooden framed and burned to the ground.
