This was the first campus for Queen's University in 1842 at 67 Colborne Street. It was called Queen's College then. It was set up by St. Andrews Presbyterian Church a few blocks away as a theology college. Sir John A. McDonald was one of it's promotors. The university now has about 20,000 students.
