This house at the foot of Sydenham Road was built by Dr. Wm. Beamish about 1859 and it is believed that he used prison labour to built it. He was the doctor at K.P. It became a rectory in 1904 for Christ Church up the hill and they may have added that addition on the right side with the unique windows.
