Old highway # 2 now partly submerged after the St.Lawrence Seaway was built in 1958. The road crossed to Royal Baker Island straight ahead and contiuing on the other side under water NE over East Isle and on. (zoom in on the satellite photo to see it better) All areas that were to be flooded had all houses, buildings, trees, shrubs and fences removed first. It resembled the prairies. How do I know that?
