Presbyterian Church, the Redeemer. Built by the Rathburn family of Deseronto in 1877 after a devastating fire that destroyed much of the town. The Rathburns owned a large lumber business, then built the Bay of Quinte Railway to Tamworth, Tweed and Bannockburn. They operated a large cement works at Marlbank and some manufacturing.
