First time there yesterday on our double date with my bestfriend and her partner (:. Place is the best I've been to, BUT to be honest the manager that dealt with us was so rude! She didn't even apologize for her attitude about us changing our combo from a normal to the thor combo.. like there was a complete miscommunication with the extra money we had to pay because she didn't say anything about the ice cream included etc. She was just coming off as a B about the whole thing like she owns the cinema. I wonder why there's not much people that go there, we just thought maybe because we islanders that's why she was being a B. Even after it was sorted she turns around to the boy that initially did our order and rudely was like "All sorted now, you sort them out!" like really? just because you're a manager don't mean you can do whatever... It's no wonder why it's not busy there compare to all the other cinema etc that we usual go too. So to the manager that was working yesterday during our session for Thor 1:15, please fix your attitude especially when I was being all calm explaining our side of things.

Sound quality and value was great .. place has a historic old feel to it but still stays up to date with it's showing. Convenient movie showing times. Bright seat numbering lights can be a little annoying!

Quite cinema, not so crowded due to hard to find parking around. Nice coffee and wines, you can also purchase movie tickets in the bar to avoid waiting in queue.

Nice cinema, like that in 1980's. Not crowded during weekdays…quiet. It's good for those who come alone.

One of Auckland's best. From the great art-deco interior to it's several cinemas and built in cafe this place is tops. Seating numbers per cinema are modest and feel about right. Seats are generally comfortable for a wide range of body types and sizes. Place is kept clean and, unlike their Hoyts competitors premises, toilets are ample and well kept. Covered parking right next door ices the cake!
