Lovely park with stunning views back to the city and Auckland Harbour Bridger. Lots of shade, kids playground and fantastic cafe across the road and a beach too!

They've improved this park MASSIVELY, its great now, bis slides, tunnel, swings, still not fully fenced with a unfenced part being open to the carpark (why? why? why?)

Big field very muddy when heavy rain . Soccer.. touch rugby is the times i come down and watch family games.It has a playground for the children

Normally a great park to spend time in, however, two huge issues are as follows. In summer there are many Karaka trees planted by the council that shed berries that are toxic and can kill dogs and small children. These need to be removed. Secondly in Winter the park is a quaggy mire due to overuse by rugby teams that take it over. They come from wide and far and completely dominate the fields every single weekend, ruining it for the locals, who I might add pay very high rates towards the upkeep of the park. The people who come to watch the rugby are often low lives who are rude, sometimes abusive and insist on littering the place. It completely ruins the park.
