If you like roses, this is your place to go. Plenty of roses even the unusual variants as well. Best time to go is from end of October, until the end of the Festival of the Roses around mid to end of November. Parking can be quite challenging.

The Parnell rose gardens is part of this park. It is fairly large and quiet. There are multiple different regions of the park, from the rose gardens, the Nancy Steen Garden, the Mechanics Bay lookout and the variety of memorials scattered around the park.
Although it didn't have a lot of flat open spaces, there were areas where you could just sit down and relax for a bit. You can also access Judges bay from a few of the footpaths around the park.
It is a nice park where you can slowly meander from one area to the next and spend a day just enjoying the variety of views.
