My experience with Triumph Physio at Harris Rd, Mt. Wellington was definitely fantastic. Physio therapist Dino and Acupuncturist Ms. Lucy were truly professionals in their own chosen fields and treat their patients the best they could. In my 4 months of treatment I was extended an A1 service in all sessions rendered. Kudos to all the staff of Triumph especially acupuncturist Ms. Lucy.

A good to for doing physio therapy and acupuncture which is free for ACC insurance holders. But staff is young so they need to improve the service provided.

Acupuncturist at Newmarket Branch (Danny) is absolutely fantastic. Very professional, skilled and most importantly really interested in getting to the source of my issue. Took the time and the results are outstanding. Highly recommend him.

My appointment with the older Korean acupuncturist at the Onehunga branch could not have gone worse. The reasons why my first (and last appointment) with the acupuncturist did not go well:
1) she was condescending. When I told her I was nervous and asked whether it was painful - she simply laughed and did not answer my question. When I asked her other questions about the procedure, sometimes her reply would consist of a smirk and no verbal response, simply failing to answer my question at all.
2) she provided me very little information about the procedure, and I had to probe and ask more. She did not tell me how long the procedure would take, how long the needles need to be in me, the evidence and science behind acupuncture (she gave me a simple powerpoint leaflet and barely expanded further when I asked). I'm not scientist, but people/patients are entitled to adequate information about any health service they're receiving.
3) her 'assessment' of my injury involved squeezing my shoulder while standing in front of me (I was seated). I was uncomfortably facing her stomach/chest while she squeezed my shoulder every now and then and asked, "so this muscle?"; at this point I was not sure exactly what she was asking me. I'm only guessing this was her 'assessment', she did not really tell me what she was doing.
4) while the needles were in me, she left the room multiple times with no explanation of when she would be back. She loudly slammed and stomped around outside of the therapy room while I lay on the plinth, wondering what was going on and whether this kind of service was normal
5) she showed me CONFIDENTIAL information about ANOTHER PATIENT. She commented my surname was similar to another patient from my native country, then proceeded to take out that patient's form to show me their full name, beside which was other confidential information e.g. phone number, ACC number, and other confidential information that is typically found on these documents.
It seems like Triumph receives great reviews, and I hate to be the person writing in a bad review. However my experience was shockingly unprofessional. I recommend that this lady receives more training, specifically about the above points.
