Nostalgia... I would give anything for being there for an hour, having simit (Turkish bagel) with a cup of tea under trees in a cold, snowy winter of Ankara, and reading comics I got from Dost Bookstore. It would just be priceless.. Feeling homesick

Its the city center more than being a park. There is a big mall there and it connects the net of underground transportation as the main station is kizily. Many coffee-shops, pubs and clubs around.

The most central park in Ankara. There are couple of nice statues and monuments, with a nice fountain but as it has been recently the gathering point for demonstrations, you don't feel so safe as there is a lot of police around and in the park (dressed regularly but you can notice that they are policeman). Personally, i would avoid it due to the security reasons even though in the past it has been a nice gathering points for students and young people.
