The original Pleasant Valley Church ~ A one room church and school from 1911 to 1940. In 1940 the school was moved, but the church continued here until 1987. The deacons used to store their moonshine in the attic for safekeeping. Everything is still original including the hardwood benches.
Old Silo
An 1800's ante-bellum home at Double Bridges road near the Flint River. It was somehow spared in 1865 when Cavalry blazed a trail from Columbus to Macon, GA.

Winter's trail of peaceful solitude
Owen's Island. Once the sight of the historic "Double Bridges" crossing the Flint. In 1865 Col. B.D. Pritchard and Wilson's Raiders seized the island and the double bridges on a night march, eventually burning the bridges to the ground.
